Summary: Ensign Traylen Reesa, a second-generation Bajoran-Cardassian hybrid, has always been torn. On one side, the Federation offers her a chance at the ultimate freedom: life as a Starfleet pilot. On the other, she finds herself needing the approval of others with Cardassian blood. Upon finding out that her mother is unwell, she returns to Lissepia where she gets an entirely new perspective on her Cardassian grandparents.
