Holy damn, that is one messed up family. Ronak seems to have more to him than meets the eye, though. (And a crush on Noah, or at least, I kind of hope so.) But whoo, is he the epitome of a pissed off teenage boy. And he sure knows how to get under T'Vel's skin, too.

I can't help but hope they reconcile somehow. For many reasons, some of which you may infer. And I hope that he and Noah don't remain on the outs so much with one another.

Well, Ronak is indeed a little prick, isn’t he? My goodness, if I was Noah, I would be in a war with him. Rock music while I sleep? I’d answer that with some ancient Vulcan chants. He wants to block my way to the door? How about I pour something nasty in front of his door? The dude is the worst kind of roommate and Ronak makes me wanna scream. Noah did well to hold his control and nearly got out of there without getting too involved but T’Vel showed up and Noah’s big mouth got him involved in a nasty family affair.

You have to feel bad for T’Vel, who has this unruly and illogical son to contend with and yet she herself is fighting the same battle he is. The only difference is that Ronak seems to enjoy being so angry and nasty to others while T’Vel is actually quite ashamed of her state. The two are definitely at odds and poor Noah just sat there and helped Ronak make her feel worse. I really hope Noah can figure out how to put a lid on that mouth of his cause it’s gonna cause him trouble. I wonder if he can request a different berth, but McGregor sticking him there is no doubt yet another way the captain is taking things out on Cutler.

Poor Cutler.

Geez, and I thought my college roommate was a disaster. I don't envy Noah one bit his position. Seems like there's a lot of hurt and resentment underneath Ronak's act. This Vulcan puzzle gets curiouser and curiouser.

Author's Response:

You've got a part of Ronak's problem down. He is hurt and resentful. But there's more to it still. But either way, I pity Noah myself.

A very welcome, and potentially explosive return to things Miranda :)

If it weren't for their superior strength I think Ronak would be wearing those cornflakes if he tried winding me up in that manner.

Very interested to know why and what caused T'Vel to struggle so badly with reigning in her emotions and why Ronak's generally a disrespectful little toe rag of a child.

Author's Response:

Thanks Starfire. Yup, back to writing - at least for a bit anyway. And certainly, Ronak and T'Vel's situation here is quite explosive for a Vulcan context. There's defnitely more on this to come of course. Just have to get the balance right. I too would like to punch Ronak in the face. He has just that kind of personality.
