So the Baron's a slider? There's an unexcpected twist. Though the method of transport might have clued me in. Well played!

Plazzi has become a very sympathetic character. And Lar'ragos is back from his trip down memory lane. Hopefully it was cathartic..

Totally creepy ending. I'm a fan of good horror writing - and it doesn't get creepier than raining blood. Also loved the last sentence - "Something just emerged..."

Thanks!! rbs

Things here are definitely starting to ramp up for the crew, who are woefully behind the curve in deciphering the mysteries of Pierosh II.

Whoa, raining blood?! Both gory and disturbing...

Raining BLOOD! Oh man, that so can't be good.
Another good chapter, with a welcome return to Pava's dark past, which I love. Good to see him awake and active, again though.
I forgot to mention in my review of the last chapter that I really loved the little scene with Juneau and Tark, showing the obvious difference since Juneau's alterego returned. This was carried over nicely here to this chapter as well.
Good stuff

Author's Response:

Yes, when it starts raining blood, that's clearly a sign things may have taken a turn for the worse.  ;-)  The Tark / Juneau(Operative) dynamic was a fun one to write, seeing as the two of them are forced to cooperate under extreme circumstances.  As for how it progresses... well, you'll just have to see.

Just one word. Yikes!

Author's Response:

That's certainly very close to what Tark was thinking... though his ran somewhat more towards the four-letter variety of exclamation!  :-)

You sure know how to take a reader on a ride. First: I will be one unhappy camper if Plazzi get's knocked off before he gets to go home. Second: It was good to see Pava find some of his internal morality again, even if it seems to have been a long road for him. And three: Good job creeping me the Hell out and painting a really... really messed up picture.

Glad to be of service!  ;-D
